From One-Minute Writer:

Write about a way in which parenting has changed since you were a kid (either based on what you observe, or on what the experts recommend.)

I really like this site because it gives an interesting prompt and then only 1 minute to write about it.  However, sometimes this “prompts” me to write more.  This particular writing prompt today did just that.  I know immediately that what I wanted to say, wouldn’t get completed in only a minute.  So, if I’m going to rant, I’m going to rant on my own blog.  LOL!

The Good Wife is a new show on CBS that will be airing Tuesday Nights starting Sept. 22.  I was lucky enough to get a preview of this show and let me tell you, I was surprised at how much I liked it.  I’ve never been a huge fan of Julianna Margulies, mostly because I always saw her as a whiney character on E.R. and never saw much else on any of the movies or other shows she’s been  in.  However, this new show has changed my mind about her.

This Juice Box Jungle Episode asks if we’ve ever gotten so angry that we yell at our kids.   I have two teen aged sons, my answer to the question is a resounding YES!  Of course, when they were toddlers the answer was yes as well.   I was once told that you could tell what kind of teenager your child would be by their “Terrible Twos”.  That has proven to be very very true!

So tomorrow I’m starting for real with a new program, Body for Life.  My coach, Honoree, has been using the program for a while and it’s worked great for her.  So, The last four women from the Successful Single Mom group are all doing the program together.  We need to get fit and gorgeous because after the book comes out we’re going to be on TV.  And I can NOT look like I do now on TV!  LOL!  So I’m learning about this program and totally commited now.  Tonight we took our “Before” pictures and in 12 weeks we’re going to take our “After” pictures.

The hardest part will be to get my little (not so much) ass out of bed before 7am, and start working out in the mornings!  The eating won’t be that difficult because it’s a well balanced diet, and as long as I don’t get hungry, I’ll be good.  Luckily the program is eating 6 times a day!!  That should keep me from being hungry!  And with all the support I have with the other moms, I”m sure I can keep myself on track and working out.

I”ll keep you all updated as much as I can.  LOL!  no promises, because as we all know, I’m not so good at keeping all my blogs up to date.  LOL!  But I”ll do my best!  Don’t expect to see the “Before” pictures until the “After” pictures are done!

So here I am, a new year, a new house, and a new blog! LOL I’ve tried keeping up on a blog before, but have never been very good at writing everyday. So I”m going to try this again! This is not going to be my only blog, but it’ll be my blog all about being a single parent while homeschooling my two sons. There won’t be any articles, because I’m going to be writing articles for a magazine about my trials and tribulations as a homeschooling single parent. But I will be discussing some ideas, things that i’m working on, and will let you know about the articles being published in the magazine. The magazine is Secular Homeschooling Magazine , and my first article should be in issue #2. I’ll let you know for sure, when I know for sure!
