“Working Class” CMT’s New TV Show – Review
Working Class from CMT
CMT’s first scripted sitcom, Working Class, starring TV veteran Melissa Peterman and Emmy & Golden Globe Award-winning actor Ed Asner makes its network debut Friday, Jan 28, at 8pm ET/PT. The new sitcom follows Carli Mitchell (played by Melissa Peterman), a single mom from a rough and tumble background, trying to give her three kids a better life by moving them to an upscale suburb. She quickly finds that making the transition to “the good life” is harder than she thought. She’s unwittingly befriended by her cranky neighbor, Hank (Ed Asner), her only “career” prospect is a glorified deli job at the local grocery store, and the man she falls for not only already has a girlfriend – but he’s also her boss, Rob (Patrick Fabian). With her ladies-man brother, Nick (Steve Kazee), to help her out (when he’s not acting like one of the kids himself), Carli faces the challenges of parenting, dating and making friends in her new community by doing more with less, staying true to herself and approaching each day with a touch of working class.
Finding Direction
I have found myself a little loss lately. I’ve thought about blogging, but really, my motivation to write, blog, and talk has been lacking. I guess I tend to go further within when I’m trying to work through something. It’s not usually very healthy to bury yourself when you’re having a difficult time with something, but that’s how I roll. Half the time, I don’t even know that I’m having trouble or worrying about something. I don’t see myself closing up, until someone or something happens to point it out. This time I knew I was retreating, but I didn’t know why. I’m still not sure why I’m retreating, but I know that I need to figure it out and move on! It’s time for some change to happen!
30 Days of Truth – Day 3
Ok, so I missed yesterday. Is anyone REALLY surprised? LOL! I can do two days in one though, so there. I figure there aren’t any “real” rules for this, so I can do it any way I want to. LOL!

One Minute Writer – Parenting Differences: Now VS Then
From One-Minute Writer:
Write about a way in which parenting has changed since you were a kid (either based on what you observe, or on what the experts recommend.)
I really like this site because it gives an interesting prompt and then only 1 minute to write about it. However, sometimes this “prompts” me to write more. This particular writing prompt today did just that. I know immediately that what I wanted to say, wouldn’t get completed in only a minute. So, if I’m going to rant, I’m going to rant on my own blog. LOL!
Review – The Good Wife
The Good Wife is a new show on CBS that will be airing Tuesday Nights starting Sept. 22. I was lucky enough to get a preview of this show and let me tell you, I was surprised at how much I liked it. I’ve never been a huge fan of Julianna Margulies, mostly because I always saw her as a whiney character on E.R. and never saw much else on any of the movies or other shows she’s been in. However, this new show has changed my mind about her.
