Thankful Thursday – My Spirituality
I’ve been reading a book, “A Course In Weight Loss: 21 Spiritual Lessons for Surrendering Your Weight Forever” by Marianne Williamson, that has been really speaking to my soul. It’s not an easy book to get through because each chapter is a different lesson on reconnecting yourself to the Divine and letting go of all the emotional pain that has caused you to gain weight. So although I’ve been reading the book for a few weeks, I’m barely into the 3 chapter. This is a true WORK book. The part of chapter 3 that I’m in right now, talks about letting go and giving to God (or whatever you want to call your higher power) all the things that are too much for you to handle. I found it very fortuitous (maybe even coincidental) that I”m reading that part of the chapter the night before “Thankful Thursday”. Because now I have what I’m thankful for! I am very thankful for the Divine in my life.
Orange Beef & Broccoli with Sauteed Cabbage
This is what we had for dinner last night. I made a couple of changes mostly because I used Buffalo flank steak instead of beef, and flour instead of cornstarch. I didn’t have any cornstarch, but didn’t know this until I had started fixing the meal so couldn’t go get it. LOL! But since when do I ever follow a recipe anyway?

Thankful Thursday – It’s All About Me
I guess since I didn’t post for two days, that I need to make up for that by posting twice in one day! LOL! This Thankful Thursday is all about me though. I’m thankful for so much in my life, but I have a hard time being thankful for myself. So today I want to be grateful about me!
30 Days of Truth – Day 4
Something you have to forgive someone for.
Generally, I like to think of myself as a very forgiving person. I don’t really hold onto a grudge. I get mad, and then it’s over. However there are a few people that have been in my life that I have had a hard time forgiving for the things they have done. Here’s my list, in chronological order.
30 Days of Truth – Day 3
Ok, so I missed yesterday. Is anyone REALLY surprised? LOL! I can do two days in one though, so there. I figure there aren’t any “real” rules for this, so I can do it any way I want to. LOL!

Mental Health Monday – Hoarding
I watched this TV show last night, Hoarding: Buried Alive, on TLC (The Learning Channel). It disturbed me greatly, but not because of how messy and cluttered the homes were… but how familiar it all was. Although my house has never been anywhere near as messy or cluttered as most of the people shown, I know the tendency is there. And that scares me!
Free Cookbooks & Recipes
I love cooking. I have always loved cooking, and to be honest, I’m not that bad at it. I’d like to say I”m pretty good, but well, I just hate to brag and really have a hard time giving myself a compliment. However, most of the people that have tasted the various things I have cooked, like what I’ve done.
That’s as far as I can go with giving myself a compliment. Anyway….. one of the great things about the internet is all the wonderful FREE things you can find online. And when it comes to cooking there is a ton… and I do mean a literal TON!

Snoring – Just Annoying or Symptom of Disease

I come from a family of heavy snorers. Most of the people in my family snore so loudly and so deeply that it’s hard to sleep in the same house, let alone the same room. I was not the exception… Continue reading

Breaking The Mom Code?
Hot Myspace Comments – Dezrum.com
Is there some sort of Mom Code? If there is, I’m thinking about breaking one of the rules in the code. LOL! If there is a code, and if this is part of it, that is.
