Bountiful Baskets – Local Fruit & Veggies
A couple of weeks ago, a friend & fellow homeschooler, mentioned that she was just getting home from her Co-op with a ton of fruits and veggies for a GREAT price. Of course I asked her where she got them and how much, and if there was any link she could send me. She sent me the link to Bountiful Baskets Food Co-op.
This is the way it works. It’s totally free to register, but to order the food, you have to purchase the “baskets” during a specific window of time. My slot is Tuesday’s @ 9am thru Wednesday’s @ 10pm. You can purchase as many baskets as you want, and they also have extras to purchase as well. Then the following Saturday morning (I had to get up at 6am on a Saturday ya’ll… and I actually did it!), you go to your designated pick up site to pick up your produce.
This is my haul! I purchased one basket for us, one basket for my Mom & Sister, a case of blueberries, 5 loaves of 9 grain bread and 3 desserts. The baskets came with the following items:
- 1 Pineapple
- 1 Watermelon
- 6 Corn on the cobs
- 3 plums
- 3 peaches
- 1 bag of grapes (about 1 lb)
- 1 box of blueberries
- 1 romaine lettuce
- 1 bag of russet potatoes (5 lb bag)
- 2 tomatoes
- 2 large cucumbers
- 1 bunch of bananas
- 1 stalk of cauliflower
We split the fruits and veggies up mostly evenly. I did take more corn and instead of leaving the pineapple & cauliflower with my mom & sis, they gave it to me. The baskets came with each of the listed items! And they are all pretty fresh and great. The cauliflower and bananas aren’t quite ripe, but they will get there soon enough. All of this cost only $15!! Can you believe it!?!
The case of blueberries was 12 containers of 12oz each of blueberries. On top of the container that came in the basket, I left my mom & sis 3 other containers. We are freezing all of them except for 2 containers, so that we can use them later in recipes. Steve & I will be using them in our protein shakes. They are filled with wonderful anti-oxidants and are very healthy! The case of blueberries cost $21 for the entire thing!
This is a picture of the 9 Grain breads we bought. For $10 we received 5 loaves. I gave 2 loaves to my mom & sister and the other three we kept. I haven’t eaten those yet, because we had some bread still from the store. So we froze the loaves that I brought home. They look very yummy though, and I can’t wait to try them.
This isn’t a great picture of the desserts I bought for $12, but it’ll have to do, cuz they are mostly eaten now. For $12 we received 3 different desserts. 1 pan of chocolate brownies, 1 pan of chocolate chip pan cookies, and 1 crumb coffee cake. They are all three very delicious!
I have to say that I am very pleased with what I was able to get through this co-op. There was a little hiccup in the picking up of the produce. The truck that brings the food to the park where I pick it up was late. Evidently this has been happening the last month. However, I was told by one of the volunteers at my site, that they were changing drivers and this wouldn’t happen again. So hopefully that was fixed.
The park where I go to pick up the produce is less than 4 miles from my house, and it’s in between my place & my moms. So when I get our stuff, I can pick up theirs as well and drop it off on the way home. The only problem is that I have to get up at 6am so that I can be at the park by 7am. They only give you a 20 minute window to pick up your produce or they donate it to a local fire department. So you can NOT be late! LOL! At least it’s on a Saturday when I can for sure get there without a problem.
So far the produce has been great! Very fresh, sweet, clean, and better than what we get at the local super markets. I’m definitely going to be using this co-op often. Probably not every week, because they do give you quite a lot of food for your money! But we’ll see how long all this actually lasts!
Right now they are in 7 different states. Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, Arizona, Nevada & Washington. They don’t have a lot of different sites to pick up the produce yet in each state, but they want to get them up and running in every state! It’s a totally all volunteer organization, so if you want to start your own site for this co-op, they give you instructions on how to do it. And if you’re really crazy brave, you can get up before the sun and help to sort out all the produce into everyone’s baskets. But you have to be there at 5:30am, so you know I”m probably not going to do that. Getting up at 6 am is too early as it is on a Saturday! LOL! Anyway, I hope you’ll check them out. I’m definitely hooked for sure!
Review – Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Daily Sunblock
Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Sunblock
I live in Las Vegas, NV where the summer sun is extreme. My son, who never burns, got his very first sunburn this summer because of how hot the sun is out here. He gets his darker skin coloring from my side of the family, but not from me directly. I am very pale, with lots of freckles and I burn VERY easily. I also have very oily and sensitive skin. I hate using most sunscreens and lotions because of my skin type. So when Neutrogena asked me to try out and review their new Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock, I was excited but skeptical. Could it really protect my skin from the sun in Las Vegas and keep me from feeling like I had my own personal oil spill?
As it turns out, yes it can! I’ve been using Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock for over a week now, and I love it. I do stay out of the sun as much as possible, but even while driving, the sun out here can burn your arms through the windows pretty easily and quickly. So I put it on whenever I go out of the house. So far, I have not had any sun burns at all while using it.
My favorite thing about this sunblock though, is that it goes on cleanly, is absorbed quickly, and I’m left with soft skin not oily skin. I can even put it on my face, which is very oily, and I don’t feel all icky slicky because of the sunblock! It’s great! Most of the other sunblocks that I’ve used always leave me feeling too greasy, and I hate that!
Another thing that I love about the Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock is that you don’t have to use very much of it to cover a lot of your body! In the picture above, you can see how much I put on my arm, and that covered my entire arm. Probably because it is so thin, that it is able to cover a lot with just a little. Whatever the reason, it definitely helps to make a much nicer coverage and is easier on the pocket book as well.
I have to say, that the only thing that I don’t like about the Sunblock is the smell. It’s supposed to be Hypo-allergenic, and it probably is, but the smell of the lotion is a little too powdery for me. It doesn’t bother me enough that I wouldn’t use it, but it gives me just the tiny bit of a headache until the smell goes away. If you’re sensitive to smells like this, then it might not be the best for you. Personally I would much prefer it if they had an odorless sunblock for those of us who are sensitive to smells like this.
Overall I would say that this is a great product. I will continue to use Neutrogena UltraSheer® Liquid Daily Sunblock for sun protection for sure. I would recommend it for anyone who has oily and fair skin. It definitely covers nicely without leaving a greasy feeling afterward. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who is very sensitive to certain orders, but smell it when you go to buy it and see if it’s ok for you. Other than that I think this product is pretty great!

Friends 4Ever Friendship Bracelet Kit by Alex Toys
When I was in high school, friendship bracelets were all the rage. I can remember sitting in class, with a safety pin pinned on my jeans, a knot of embroidery thread attached to the pin, and me making these bracelets through out the day. The type of bracelets I made were more like macrame than weaving though. So mine always came out with the same pattern, diagonal stripes. Only the colors were different. But I still made them constantly. I think I wore 2 or three all the time and gave them to all my friends. I wore them until they basically rotted off from all the showers… cuz of course I never took them off. LOL!
Growing Tree Toys is a great store with lots of various educational toys for kids of all ages. So when Growing Tree Toys gave me the opportunity to play with there Alex Toys Friends 4 Ever friendship bracelet kit, I was THRILLED! I loved making the striped bracelets but I always wanted to make the different patterns. I figured this would be a great way to learn how to make the various patterns.
The kit comes with :
- 22 colors of floss, including silver & gold metallic
- 4 foam weaving looms – 2 round & 2 square (each side with a different pattern layout)
- 2 containers of beads
- beading needle
- instructions
- Great carrying case with handle!
The instructions are very easy to follow. Basically measure out the length of the strings that you want in the colors you like, tie a knot, and start weaving them through with the foam boards. The boards are all notched, so you just have to bring the string from one notch to the next to make the pattern. The only thing about the instructions is that the side strings that you need to help with the weaving weren’t long enough for the bracelet.
Because I didn’t have the time that I had when I was a teenager, finishing the bracelet took me a while. I actually had to work at my regular job, cook, take care of my family… you know, take care of my responsibilities! It’s like I”m a grown up or something! LOL! But I did get the bracelet done, and really the most difficult part of the whole project was keeping the threads from tangling while I was weaving. Other than that it was really easy to do! It was also a lot of fun. This is how my bracelet turned out.
Ok, so it doesn’t look as neat or polished as the ones on the package. But it was just my first try. I had a little trouble keeping the width of the bracelet consistent, but I think that’s more a matter of practice than anything else. If it turned out a little better, I’d probably wear it, because I still like these cute bracelets. So though it’s my first try, it won’t be my last!
I highly recommend this bracelet kit to kids, ages 8+. It might be a little difficult for younger kids because of the hand coordination that it takes to do the weaving, and the patience it takes to complete one of the bracelets. I think that teen girls will REALLY love this, mostly because I know I would have as a teen! Probably would be a perfect present for a girl who loves crafting!

Tit-illating Tuesday Review – Roly Poly Mini Vibrator by Doc Johnson
It’s time for yet another “Tit”-illating Tuesday Review. Where I let you into my my intimate side of myself and tell you what I think of some amazing Sex toys. This week is brought to you by Good Vibrations. As always, if you’re a family member, this would be a good time to stop reading! Otherwise, please continue and enjoy!
I’ve actually been waiting for this little vibrator for a little while. They were backed up recently and it took them a while to get this out to me. It was well worth the wait though!
This tiny little vibrator is specifically for clitoral stimulation. It’s got a turn dial speed adjuster at one end that makes the bulbous knob on the other end send you into nice little thrills! It’s tiny and discreet, easily fits in your purse or suitcase for an over nighter. It’s also pretty quiet too. I was really surprised at how little sound it actually makes, for the amount of vibration it gives out!
Mine came in a cute little purple color. It’s only about a little more than 4 inches long and an ince & a half in diamter, but it definitely packs a nice little “punch” when it comes to vibrations. This is definitely a handy little thing to have around when you want to get some good and quick pleasure.
I would recommend this to just about anyone! It’s fun to use by yourself, or with your partner. You can take it with you anywhere, because no one is going to see it or hear it. Definitely worth the $22!
Product Description: (from the website)
How can something without a face have this much personality? Cute and compact, the Roly-Poly‘s hourglass shape is easy to hold and perfect for clitoral stimulation. Its multi-speed dial is easy to control so you can move up and down its range of intensity, and it’s waterproof, so you can take your new little buddy with you wherever you might want a friendly buzz — including into the shower!

Tit-illating Tuesday – The Little Thumper by Doc Johnson
Welcome to this week’s edition of “Tit”-illating Tuesday, where I review some great adult dvd’s, sex toys, Vibrators and more. Most of my products come from Good Vibrations , which is who sent me this weeks toy to review. As always, if you’re family, please stop reading now! I’m sure you won’t want to hear what I have to say today! LOL!
“Say hello to my little friend” LOL!
The Little Thumper Vibrator by Doc Johnson
This little vibrator has 4 settings, a power controller attached to the bullet by a long wire, and a slim bullet for your pleasure. This is supposed to be a “discreet” way of pleasuring yourself with little effort on your part. I think the only thing discreet about it though is the size. It could fit anywhere…. I mean like your purse or overnight bag. Although it might cause some strange looks from the TSA going through the x-ray machines at the airports. Otherwise, it’ll easily fit in any case or bag to go anywhere you want to take it.
However, don’t expect it to be quiet! It’s not! The website rates the volume a 4, but I would say it is probably closer to a 5. Don’t try to talk while this little thing is buzzing around. I had to make a video of it to show you how loud it was.
Here’s the problem with The Little Thumper, it’s loud, but the vibrations aren’t very strong really. It’s also not very big, so you don’t get a whole lot of sensations from the vibrations that do get going. I was kinda disappointed. As you can see from the picture below, the bullet is not very long or wide, so it doesn’t “hit the right spots” when you’re using it. And although it’s loud, the vibrations aren’t very strong, so there’s little pleasure in it.
The package also says there are “4 different settings”, however it’s more like 2 settings and 2 combinations of those two settings put together. There is a high, which actually sounds high pitched. And there is a low, which is almost off. Then the other two settings are “variance” where the vibrations go up and down in succession, and then a “pulse” where it goes on and off in short intervals. The only setting that I actually felt some sort of sensation with was the “high”, but even that wasn’t very strong.
Overall I was very disappointed with this cute little vibrator. I thought it had a lot of potential for when I’m tired or feeling lazy. Which is why I tried it last night, because Steve and I were really too tired to “do” anything, but we both wanted to have a little fun. I thought this little remote controlled vibrator would do the trick….. nope.
If you’re looking for something discreet, this might suit your needs, but only if you don’t like strong vibrations. It didn’t really please me at all, which is too bad really, cuz I liked the idea of it for sure!
Product Description:
It’s the pleasure bomb! This torpedo-shaped vibe attaches via a cord to a multi-speed battery pack. Two vibration intensities — one Pulsation mode and one Escalating mode — make this a versatile toy that’s suitable for many preferences.

Tit-illating Tuesday – Silent Vibrations Deep Massager by Doc Johnson Review
Welcome to another edition of Tit-illating Tuesday! It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve done a review because my sponsors were a little backed up. But now I have several more things to review and should be on schedule each week. As always if you’re a family member this is your warning to stop reading now as this is a very intimate review of sex toys!
This week, Eden Fantasys sent me the Silent Vibrations Deep Massager by Doc Johnson. This is a thick, plastic massager that curves at the top to hit your G-Spot. It also has “petal” lips on either side to add to the texture and sensation of the massager. At the very bottom of the massager is the controls, which is a roller and the vibrations go from very subtle to very strong.
I’ve had this little toy for about a week now and I’ve tried it out a few times. I’ll be honest and tell you it’s not my favorite toy in my ever growing toy chest. However, it’s not bad either. There are a few things that it has going for it that I like. The top of it curving makes it really easy to hit all of my g-spots. It’s pretty quiet even when on full blast. And the controls are great to hit exactly the right speed for you.
The negatives though are a little more than the positives. The whole thing is a very hard plastic, which means there’s no give to the shape and that can be a little uncomfortable at times, especially as big as the girth of this thing is. It’s much bigger around than what I was expecting, which I actually like that, but because it’s so hard, it’s not necessarily the most pleasing feeling. The controls are good, but “max” isn’t as “max” as I would like it to be though.
Over all I’d have to give this massager 3 stars. That g-spot curve really does give it the extra points. Because I have had kids, I’ve got a couple of spots that aren’t in the usual place because of scar tissue. This toy can hit those spots right on. I just have to turn it a little and there ya go. But for the most part, it’s not going to be the first toy I turn to for real pleasure.
Product Description From Eden Fantasys:
Discreet pleasure is at your fingertips with the Silent Vibrations Deep Massager. Raised petals on the body, firm plastic material, and quiet operation make this toy an excellent after-dark companion.
A unique scroll-wheel style control on the base allows selection of speed even if the toy is slippery with lubricant. A rounded, slightly curved tip is ideal for G-spot play and stimulation.
An easy-loading cradle makes changing out batteries simple; a screw on base also ensures that there will be no interruption of power during your playtime.

Favorite Friday – My Favorite #Poker Rooms
Favorite Poker Rooms
I absolutely love playing poker. It’s my favorite past time. The poker game that I always play is Texas Hold ‘Em, because it’s the game where you not only have to have skills in strategy and poker hands, but also in reading other players and how to use your chips to your advantage. There is a lot of psychology that goes into playing Poker, which makes it a very mental game. Which is one of the many reasons I love playing it. It challenges me in so many ways, that I’m always learning something about myself and other people, and this translates over to life as well. This is why I love playing poker so much!
For Favorite Friday I decided to list my favorite Poker rooms here in Las Vegas. Steve and I try to go play at least one tournament every weekend, and usually end up playing several. We do pretty well in our Poker winnings, so it makes it worth while for sure. There are a few rooms that we go to all the time, for various reasons, and I thought I’d share my thoughts on them here today. If you like playing poker, and you’re in Vegas, check them out! These are not listed in any specific order, just the order I thought of them.
MGM Grand -Steve and I “discovered” this poker room relatively recently. Basically we just hadn’t gone to it yet, but we knew about it. We decided to go to this poker room because we heard about a cash game that’s called “20-50″. Basically it’s a No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em game, but the minimum buy in is $20 and the Maximum is $50, with the blinds starting at $.50 & $1. Steve and I like it because you can’t really loose more than $50 bucks in any hand, but you can still go “All In” or raise a lot to get people off their weaker hands. It’s a good way to get our feet wet in the No Limit Cash games, and because it’s considered a “beginner” game, it’s a little easier to play. We also liked their No Limit Tournament as well. It’s a little more expensive than the normal game we play, $80, but the playing is so soft there, that it’s a little less daunting a task. Steve took 3rd the other day and won almost $600. Nice pay out for sure! They also have other games going like the various limit games and no limit games. It’s a rather large poker room in the middle of the casino. It’s really nice. However, I don’t like the actual tables or their chairs, so I end up getting a back ache. However, despite how uncomfortable it is to sit there, I still like playing there. LOL!

O’Shea’s – O’Shea’s Casino is right on the strip. It’s a little hole in the wall casino that is usually filled with College kids playing Beer Pong. They do have an actual poker “room” but generally their regular poker games are played near the front of the casino right off the sidewalk on the strip. It’s a VERY noisey casino and crowded. However, despite all that, Steve and I really like playing their tournaments and their low limit game of “2-5 spread”. This is another casino with very soft game. There have been a few times when some of the players have been so drunk that they could hardly sit at the table… I almost felt guilty taking their chips… almost.
Aliante Station – Aliante is a relatively new casino in the valley. It was finished being built last year. They’ve actually been having a hard time because they opened their doors right in the middle of all the economic problems in Vegas. They do have a great poker room though. One of my favorite tournaments to play is their Friday & Saturday night Bounty Tournaments. A Bounty tournament is when a portion of your buy in goes to a bounty, when you knock someone out of the tournament (taking all their chips) you get that bounty. At most poker rooms the bounties are only $5 or $10, but at Aliante it’s $25! The buy in is only $65 so a rather large percentage comes back to the players. And if you knock out 3 players, your free rolling (meaning you just got your buy in back!). I’ve actually done this 3 times. I’ve only cashed in this tournament once, but still made a profit off the game. That’s why we love it.. however, it’s a mostly a locals place, so the playing is usually pretty good rather than being soft, it can be difficult to win. Being a bounty tournament though makes some players take a lot more risks than normal… so it almost balances out.
Mirage – This is probably Steve’s all time favorite poker room. This is the room that I cut my proverbial poker teeth on. We stopped going to this room for a while because I got tired of never being able to win or cash in a game. I’ve gotten better at playing and we went back recently and I cashed in two different games. LOL! Yes, all it takes for me to like a room is to win there!
The Mirage has a bounty tournament on Saturday nights. It’s a little more expensive game, at $80 buy in, but you still get $25 for a bounty and you’ve got a bigger starting chip stack. At Aliante you start with 4500 in chips, here at Mirage you get 7500. Which means there’s more room for you to make moves and gather up chips. This is a mix of players though. There are some locals and very good players with a few drunk or inexperienced players. So it can be tough to win, but if you are a good player you should be able to get to the money. Steve prefers their “Sit n Go” tournaments. These are small tournaments that start only after they have 10 players. You get 1000 in chips (which means it’ll be a quick game) and only 2 players cash. Steve cashes in almost every Sit n Go he plays there, I’ve cashed in one.
The Stratosphere – This is probably Steve and My favorite poker room for tournaments. They have a tournament 4 times a day and sometimes we’ve played in 2 tournaments there in a row. I’ve cashed in this tournament 3 times and Steve has cashed in it… well more times than I can remember. There are some good, regular, players that play these tournaments, but for some reason this is hotel is big with people from other countries. Generally, there is a much larger percentage of foreigners at the table than Americans. What’s always funny is how many people that are staying there don’t realize that the drinks are free but you should tip the waitresses. What this means for the actual play of the tournament is two things… one, these visitors may decide they don’t want to “chop” when it comes down to head’s up or when everyone has made it to the money, simply because they want to “win a vegas tournament”. The other is that they are so excited to be playing poker in Vegas that they play a lot more “risky”. Usually it’s a nice mix of soft and challenging players, not necessarily an easy tournament to win, but not so difficult that you’ll be frustrated. Steve and I play this tournament a lot!
So there’s my list of my favorite poker rooms to play at. There are others that we like to play at as well… Treasure Island, Ceasars Palace, Santa Fe Station, Eastside Cannery, Mandalay Bay and South Point are a few of the ones we go to regularly. They didn’t make my “Favorite Friday” list because they are either very difficult to win, too uncomfortable to sit at, seldom have an inexpensive tournament to buy in to, or seldom have low limit games to play. We visit them on occasion, but they aren’t our first choices.
Some of the Casino’s we absolutely will NOT play at are Balley’s, Luxor, Bellagio, and Joker’s Wild. Mostly because they are either VERY expensive to play any tournaments or the blind structure is very steep and not worth the money, or in the case of Joker’s Wild only very difficult players play there and we aren’t up to that speed… yet.
. We haven’t played at ALL the casino’s yet, but we will get to them all eventually.
We like trying new places to see what they are like and have found some new favorites that way. I know we really want to try out M and Aria soon. I don’t know where they will be on the list, but hopefully we’ll find some other good places to play. If you happen to stop at one of these casinos and have something to add about them, please leave a comment and let me know! If you are in Vegas and playing at one of my favorites, you might see me there on the weekends. If so, say hi! And then goodbye to your chips! LOL!!
Hope to see you at the tables!
I Love My New Phone!
This is totally the best phone in the world! I was worried that I’d maybe hyped it up so much that I”d be disappointed when I actually got the phone. I worried for nothing though… the phone definitely lives up to the hype I gave it! hehehe I’ll probably do reviews of the phone in a little more depth later on, including the various apps that I’m using on it. But today, I wanted to gush over my new best friend, which Steve is sure is replacing him. hehehe, he’s almost right!
One of the things that I love about this phone is that the screen is soooo big! It’s about 1/3 the size of my netbook, and is the biggest screen on a phone in the market. I can look at my website, or any website, and it looks good… not just a “mobile” version of websites, but the way they are supposed to look! Which is a huge difference from my Palm Centro, which had trouble with even the mobile versions. This large screen also means that I can read ebooks on my phone without any problem. I love that!!
Another great feature that I love about my phone is the built in GPS. Most of the phones out now have a GPS where they know where you are, but this phone will actually give you directions from where you are to where you wanna go… like a Tom-Tom gps. It fully replaces the GPS we currently have! PLUS with the blue tooth streaming capabilities of the phone, the gps speaks through the speakers the directions, so you can hear it nicely! It’ll cut off the music to do so. It’s great!!
These are just TWO of the amazing things about my phone. There are over 30,000 apps in the google market place, and I’ve only downloaded a handful so far. LOL! I’m surprised it’s not more. So I’ll be giving you some reviews and info on those various apps that I like and don’t like soon enough. I’ll also be taking some pictures and video’s with my phone so you can see how great that feature is too!
My HTC EVO may not actually replace Steve, but it’s definitely giving him a good run for his money! LOL!

Going Down: The Official Guide to Cunnilingus by Good Releasing
About The Film:
This week I am reviewing a Sex Ed DVD from Good Releasing, Going Down: The Official Guide to Cunnilingus. This is a DVD that introduces the viewer not only to the female genitalia, but also how to give pleasure by focusing on those parts. The first “chapter” is an introduction tot he parts of a woman’s genitalia, with visuals from a “Wondrous Vulva Puppet“. The rest of the DVD shows you various ways of giving pleasure by licking, sucking and massaging a woman’s genitalia.

My Opinion:
This was an interesting way of teaching people how to pleasure a woman with just going down on her. Although this isn’t something new to me, it was still a fun movie to watch. There are good sex scenes in the film itself to make it enjoyable. Not speaking as a “newbie”, I don’t know how much it actually taught. There was definitely some good advice in the film, but really wasn’t as educational as I would have expected. However if you want to just watch men and women going down on women, then this is definitely a good movie for that particular activity!
It had a good mix of all sorts of people being filmed having sex together. Everyone from lesbians to straight couples, from skinny porn stars to average chunky (almost fat) people. Whatever you might like to see, they have them on film in this DVD. So if you like variety, this is also a good film to watch.
I would recommend this to just about anyone who wants to add to their porn collection. It’s got some very hot scenes with same & opposite sex couples, so it’ll be fun to watch with who ever your partner is or what they like. I wouldn’t expect to learn anything “new” in this film, unless you’ve never had sex at all… then, maybe you shouldn’t be starting with this! heh.
My rating: 3.5 stars

Tit-illating Tuesday -Reveiw Duotone Smartballs by Fun Factory & Kegels
Welcome To Tit-illating Tuesdays!
Usually I ask any family members to stop reading now, because my reviews get very raunchy… sexual… personal. But today’s review isn’t just about sex or sexuality. It’s mostly about health. And if you’re like me, and have LBL, Light Bladder Leakage, then this little review may even be helpful! So go ahead and read on. I am going to be getting “personal” but not like my usual Tuesday!
Fun Factory’s Duotone Smartballs
I received a pair of these great little balls from Good Vibrations, a great little sex toy shop that is both online and off line in San Francisco. They asked me to review them for you here on my blog. I’ve tried benwa balls previously, but was never really very comfortable with them. I was mostly worried that they’d get stuck somewhere that I couldn’t get to and then have to make some embarrassing trip to the hospital to get them removed. LOL! That’s one way these little balls are different than some. The Fun Factory Duotone Smartballs have a nice long, strong string attached to the end of them, so they aren’t going to get lost anywhere. I know, kind of a silly worry, but hey… I know I”m not alone in that! hehe.
The Fun Factory Duotone Smartballs come in a variety of colors, but most importantly they are made of Elastomer that is both strong and soft. This makes them very comfortable and easy to insert. There are two balls linked together by a small Elastomer line and within each big ball is a smaller ball that rattles and rolls around inside them. This movement within the bigger balls causes a nice little sensation inside you to not only give you pleasure but to remember to do your kegels!
The main reason for using the Smartballs isn’t for the pleasure, even though they do give you some constant subtle pleasure… the main reason you use these balls is for the exercises. Think of them as a treadmill for your vagina! Wait… maybe treadmill isn’t the right analogy! A Bowflex for your Vagina! That’s it, these things are the Bowflex for your Vagina! LOL! Because what they do is help you to exercise and strengthen your pelvic wall muscles. The reason you want to strengthen those muscles is to help keep you from having too many bladder leakage problems.
This is how you use them.
- Insert the smart balls into your vagina, much like you would a tampon. Make sure they are in nice and secure without them sticking out.
- Then start squeezing your vagina muscles around the balls. Try to hold your muscles tight around the balls for a count of three, and then relax them for a count of three.
- Do 10 reps like this every day.
Once you get strong enough, you can start doing more repetitions like this. Your ultimate goal is to be able to do a few hundred of these reps a day (not necessarily at one “sitting”). This will not only increase the strength of your vaginal walls, but it will increase your orgasms as well! All of this will help to keep your LBL in check, make sex a little more fun AND for the pregnant women (or those wanting to become pregnant) it will help tremendously during labor & delivery!

I like the Fun Factory Duotone Smartballs. They are very easy to insert and to pull back out. They are comfortable to wear for a little while at least. I did start to feel uncomfortable after wearing them for more than 20 minutes. I’m not sure if that’s something peculiar to my own body or just in general, though. Overall I would say these are very good to use to help with your Kegel exercises! I know I need to do more Kegels and these will not only help me to make them more effective, but they will make it a little more pleasurable as well!
The one thing to remember is that these balls are not specifically for pleasuring yourself. The movement of the small ball inside the larger ones, doesn’t make a strong vibration. The movement is very subtle and gives you a little pleasure, but not the intense pleasure one might need to actually orgasm. It’s just pleasant…. that’s the best word to describe it. A Pleasant feeling… not strong.
I would recommend the Fun Factory Duotone Smartballs to any woman who wanted to strengthen her pelvic walls, for whatever reason you might have. I think they will definitely help and become a regular part of my daily routine. Plus they will keep me a little horny through the day as well. LOL! Which who can’t stand for a little more of that every day! hehe
