I love blogging… really I love writing. I always have. I wanted to be a journalist for a short time, until I realized that it was almost as difficult to get published as it was to get into the movies. That’s when I decided that I’d just write for fun. When I realized that I could publish my own works on my own website, it was fantastic! But few, if anyone, ever saw my websites. That is until I learned to blog and how to get my blog seen online.

The boys are pretty independent now that they are both in High school. I don’t talk much about homeschooling anymore because I’m not doing much with their schooling. We use an online charter high school because I didn’t have the time to devote to their curriculum while running and growing my business. It was the easiest and best solution. That being said, I do supplement their education with projects and reports that I assign them to make sure that their education is going in the direction that I want it to. Today I saw a video excerpt that made me VERY thankful that I am homeschooling in Nevada, though. This could easily have been me and the boys.

Published January 10, 2011 | Saturday morning while surfing around on Facebook, I saw a breaking news report that a congresswoman from AZ had been shot in the head. The events played out on my Facebook and Twitter that a young man had come to the congress woman’s “Congress on your Corner” event and had begun shooting. As the events played out, 6 were murdered and 13 more where injured. Among those killed were a Federal Court Judge and a 9 year old girl. Amazingly, the Congresswoman survived the attack, and the gunman was captured.

This is really my all time favorite time of year. Really, the season for me starts in late October with my birthday. hehehe, yea I’m still a big kid about my birthday. Then comes Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years day. For me this is the absolute best time of year. Full of family, fun and wonderful weather.

Published June 25, 2010 | I am so sick and tired of “The Race Card” and the “Sex Card” being played all over the place in our society today. From the NAACP “hearing things” from a Hallmark Graduation Card to NARAL becoming enraged by an OH court ruling against a woman about her maternity leave, all that’s being said and done is not about Equality, it’s all about trying to be treated MORE special than anyone else. And it’s not only ridiculous, but irritating and time consuming! Not to mention tax payer dollar consuming!! And I’m just SICK AND TIRED OF IT!!!!

This is a saying that my mom taught me as I was growing up. “You cant’ make a second first impression”. It means that no matter what you do, the first thing people see about you will be what they think of you most strongly. If they see you as a nice, neat, clean cut person, then that’s how you will be treated by them. If they see you as a punk, they’ll treat you like one… and they will for a very long time.

I really like this site because it gives an interesting prompt and then only 1 minute to write about it. However, sometimes this “prompts” me to write more. This particular writing prompt today did just that. I know immediately that what I wanted to say, wouldn’t get completed in only a minute. So, if I’m going to rant, I’m going to rant on my own blog. LOL!

As some of you may already know, I’m conservative in my political views. Well, at least most of them. Fiscally conservative, socially liberal. My view point is I am Pro-Choice… about everything! I’m Libertarian, not republican, not democrat. I believe in our constitution and I believe in LIMITED government! Which is why I have started getting more involved in the Tea Party movement. Because they are for limited government as well.
