Thankful Thursday – My Spirituality
I’ve been reading a book, “A Course In Weight Loss: 21 Spiritual Lessons for Surrendering Your Weight Forever” by Marianne Williamson, that has been really speaking to my soul. It’s not an easy book to get through because each chapter is a different lesson on reconnecting yourself to the Divine and letting go of all the emotional pain that has caused you to gain weight. So although I’ve been reading the book for a few weeks, I’m barely into the 3 chapter. This is a true WORK book. The part of chapter 3 that I’m in right now, talks about letting go and giving to God (or whatever you want to call your higher power) all the things that are too much for you to handle. I found it very fortuitous (maybe even coincidental) that I”m reading that part of the chapter the night before “Thankful Thursday”. Because now I have what I’m thankful for! I am very thankful for the Divine in my life.
Thankful Thursday – Glad I’m Homeschooling In Nevada!
The boys are pretty independent now that they are both in High school. I don’t talk much about homeschooling anymore because I’m not doing much with their schooling. We use an online charter high school because I didn’t have the time to devote to their curriculum while running and growing my business. It was the easiest and best solution. That being said, I do supplement their education with projects and reports that I assign them to make sure that their education is going in the direction that I want it to. Today I saw a video excerpt that made me VERY thankful that I am homeschooling in Nevada, though. This could easily have been me and the boys.

Thankful Thursday – My Mom

There are a lot of people that I love and am thankful for in my life. There are people who have been supportive of me, who have helped me in so many different ways. But none of them compare to my mom. Even as a little girl I knew how lucky I was to have her as a mom, and that has never changed. That is why I wanted to say Thank You to My Mom today on this beautiful Thankful Thursday.
365 Days of Thank Yous – Double Post
This weekend was a nice one. I got to see one of my best friends and her new little baby, got to spend some “quality” time with Steve, and even got to meet one of my long time customers face to face. There’s so many people I have to say thank you to, I don’t know where to start! Since I didn’t post yesterday, I figured I’d do a double helping of thanks though! Maybe more.
365 Thank You
Last night we had a bad experience at a hotel we had reservations in. Thats not important to this post though. Whatw important is the girl at the desk this morning refunded all our money without us even asking for… Continue reading
Thank You!
The other day we received in the mail a wonderful Thank You note from Steve’s sister. She was thanking us for the gifts we sent them for Christmas. Along with her note was another note from her eldest step-daughter, thanking us for her gift as well. It was so sweet. Steve’s mom also sent us a thank you card, thanking us for the gifts and the time she spent with us over the holidays.
Thankful Thursday – Winter Weather
Yes, I know it’s a strange thing to be thankful for but I am! Mostly because I live in Las Vegas where the summer’s are normally 110 + and the nights don’t cool down much at all. So to have these wonderfully cold winters is what makes it bareable during the summer heat. I can just remember how my toes were always cold, even in my nice thick warm boot slippers. I can think about how every time I stepped outside I had to wear gloves. How nice it felt to snuggle up next to my sweetheart at night without sweating! LOL!
Wordless Wednesday – Trip To Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary
The Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary was established in 1970 and is a non-profit organization dependent upon the support of the general public for its survival. The Sanctuary offers a safe haven for animals of all types. We are dedicated to the continued public awareness of responsible pet adoption so that our facility will experience zero growth in the future in accepting unwanted pets. Through onsite classes on animal wellness, presentations, and tours of the facility we hope to encourage the thoughtful adoption of pets who will remain with their original owners.
Inspiration Comes From The Strangest Places
So here’s our brand new (new to us) Lincoln Towncar. We bought it the day before New Years Eve! Believe it or not, we don’t owe anything on it either! That’s right, NO car payments!! WOOT! We traded in my cute, sweet, adorable Beetle and paid a few K in cash and we own it outright! That’s a testament to how well our business is doing, because we didn’t sacrifice or really even save for this! No, we still have savings in the bank, money for our business, money for rent, bills and fun on TOP of buying this car!
