Wildflowers can show up in some of the most unpredictable places; in seeming barren fields, among a thicket of brush, or between a crack in the sidewalk. I didn’t want to say “Happy Memorial Day” because I don’t think it’s really appropriate. We aren’t celebrating today, although for the most part, it seems that we are. We have Memorial Day sales, and BBQ’s and parties and vacations… but we need to remember what today is REALLY about. It’s about remembering those who have fought, and died, for OUR freedom!
