Product Review – Episencial Playful Foaming Wash

Episencial Playful Foaming Wash

This last week has been  pretty cool for me.  At the same time that my email/web server crashed, I recieved news that I was going to get to review more products.  One company that asked me to start doing reviews is EcoMom (formerly SproutBaby).  I’m also going to get to do a giveaway, but that will be later next week.  So keep watch!

About the Company:

Founded to address the connection between the health of our environment and the health of our children, EcoMom is committed to making eco-conscious living easy, affordable, and rewarding. By helping women begin to take better care of themselves and their families – with education, support, tools and products – we empower them to take the all important first steps toward a healthier, more balanced, and sustainable lifestyle.

EcoMom.com is about bridging the gap between making healthy choices and making easy choices. We created EcoMom because we care and are concerned for babies and their moms, our families and our communities. We want every mom to be an EcoMom because being an EcoMom means making choices that are good for all of us, and the planet which we all share.

Product Review:

One of the products that EcoMom sent me to review for them was the Episencial Playful Foaming Wash.  It says on the bottle “For ages 0 – 150″.  I’m somewhere in the middle, so I’ve been using it for the last few days.  It’s for hair and body wash, so I’ve used it as both to see how it works.

I really like the smell of this product.  It uses organic Orange extract as well as other natural ingredients.  This is very important to me because of my allergies to so many different chemical products.  The orange extract gives the wash a wonderfully pleasant and invigorating aroma that really helps to open your eyes up.

Another thing that I like about this product is that it rinses off cleanly.  One of the things that I don’t like about most body washes is that I always feel like they are still on my skin when I’ve rinsed off.  I have oily skin, so feeling like there’s more “stuff” on my skin is never good.  Most soaps either leave my skin too slick, or too dry, and I don’t like either.  But this wash does neither.  It makes my skin feel soft and clean, without any extra gunk left on it.

I didn’t really like using this wash as a shampoo.  I’ve got really think hair, so it takes a lot to clean it, and this wasn’t a deep enough of a cleanser for my particular hair.  However, I think it would be great for most babies or small kids hair.  I would have liked using this as a hair & body wash for my sons when they were little.  And since it doesn’t irritate the eyes, it would be really great for small kids.

I would definitely recommend this product to moms with small kids or anyone who would like to use a natural body wash.  I’m very pleased with it and the price of the product is relatively reasonable, at least for what it is. It’s only $8.99 for a bottle.
