I’ll Miss Dixie Carter
Dixie Carter
There have been a few celebrities that have died in the past that have made me sad. It hasn’t happened in a while, but it’s happened. Michael jackson wasn’t one of them, but Dixie Carter is.
Probably the biggest reason it makes me sad is that she’s always remdined me of my mother. Especially when she played Julia Sugarbaker in Designing women. When she’d go off and speak her mind, and tell someone off in the most intelligent and articulate way, I saw her as my mother at her best.
She was the ultimate southern belle, that you better not mess with. That was always who my mom was too. And they are also the same age… well almost. My mom turns 70 this year, and Dixie Carter turned 70 last year.
Maybe part of it is that my moms health hasn’t been very good in the last few years, and I worry about her, so Dixie Carter’s death just brings that home to me. Maybe it’s just another reminder that my mom isn’t really super human and someday I’ll lose her.
Whatever the reason, now I’m sad. I’m sad about Dixie Carter, and I’m sad that I know my mom can’t be with me forever.
This sucks
Goodbye Dixie Carter by Wyndsong
another strong woman left this earth
to bring grace and courage to heaven
another strong woman is no longer here
but heavens a little better for it
She inspired young women to have class and grace
to use your mind to make this a better world
Always a lady, strong and amazing
A True role model for every girl
Another strong woman has left the earth
Taking strength of character with her
The lights of Georgia have gone dim with saddness
but heavens glory will burn brighter forever

It’s really sad to loss someone that we love. Well, they are gone but they are never forgotten, they are always here in our heart.
